Who can Prescribe Suboxone?
According to the law, any doctor with a special X issued by the DEA, is allowed to prescribe Suboxone to treat pain. The FDA has not approved this, which makes the prescription off-label. The Doctors are expected to take an 8-hour long class on these and then apply for the DEA #.
